One Career Advice for my Younger Self as a Career Coach.

Jul 16, 2024

I celebrated my birthday in June.

Here is one career advice for my 20 sth. year-old self:

“You are not too young, old, X, Y or Z to start or restart your career.”

Diverse options exist, and it is beautiful.

Expect to hear many “no” s on the way.

And also unexpected “opportunities”.

Don`t give up on hope.

In the future, you`ll meet inspiring people atβœ”οΈ:

- Mid 60s who started their business after their retirement

and are thriving.

- Late 50s who restarted in a new industry after so many

years of working in one industry.

- Mid 40s or 30s starting a local shop, handwork, or service

business with or without previous experience

and are creating great things.

- 30s and 40s who went from an agency, local business, academia,

NGO, or start-up to corporate with no previous

corporate background or vice versa.

- 20s who found great jobs with no or little experience after looking

for a long time or launched and sold successful businesses.

What would your advice for your 20-year-old self be?
